Challenge
One of the primary challenges was understanding the specific needs of the users, primarily students looking for webinars, events, and career-building resources. Creating an interface that worked well across both mobile and desktop platforms added another layer of complexity, as users had different expectations based on the device they used. Ensuring ease of navigation, accessibility, and consistent functionality while catering to diverse user needs was essential to making Pathseeker a versatile and user-friendly platform.
Responsibility
As the UI/UX designer, I was responsible for designing both the desktop and mobile versions of the website. My role included conducting thorough user research, developing wireframes, and creating high-fidelity prototypes using Figma. I led usability testing to gather feedback, identify pain points, and refine the user experience. This end-to-end responsibility involved ensuring that the platform's design was consistent across devices while being responsive and accessible.
Results
The platform’s redesign resulted in over 80% positive feedback from users during usability testing, with significant improvements in ease of navigation and accessibility. The new design helped students efficiently access Pathseeker’s resources, leading to higher user engagement and satisfaction. Additionally, the optimized interface for both mobile and desktop ensured a seamless experience, regardless of the device used.

Process
User Research & Testing: To better understand the needs and pain points of users, I conducted usability tests with 10 users, measuring 12 task scenarios and analyzing feedback from 24 study questions. This allowed me to refine the design based on actual user experiences.
Wireframing & Prototyping: Using Figma, I created wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes for both desktop and mobile versions of the site. These designs featured 9 different web pages and were focused on simplicity, accessibility, and ease of navigation across devices.
Mobile & Desktop Optimization: I ensured that the platform was optimized for both mobile and desktop, offering a consistent, responsive design that adapted smoothly to different screen sizes and user expectations.
Refining User Experience: Based on the usability testing results, I applied a user-centered design approach to streamline navigation and improve accessibility, resulting in an easier process for users to discover events, insights, and partnerships.
Key Takeaways
This project highlighted the importance of involving users early in the design process, as their feedback played a crucial role in shaping the final product. Creating a seamless experience across multiple platforms is essential for modern web applications, and Pathseeker.id now offers an accessible and efficient interface that supports its mission of empowering students in their academic and professional journeys. The iterative design process and close collaboration with users led to a successful implementation that enhances the overall user experienc
